Prague is a unique and magical city, with its spectacular architecture and its diverse scenery. The city dates back to early seventh century. Legend has it that Slavic Princess Libuse, blessed with prophetic powers, had a vision and pointed to where the city was to be built. Ever since, Prague has remained (intermittently) the capital of many empires that emerged in and around modern-day Czech Republic.
Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and hence also one of the most visited ones.
The whole inner city is a protected area with many historical buildings - there are over 1,700 cultural monuments, hundreds of ancient houses, palaces and churches, old lanes and beautiful gardens.
St Petersburg
The city of St. Petersburg is known as the cultural treasure house of Russia and it is often referred to as an Open-Air Museum. There are more than 140 museums and around 100 theatres. Saint-Petersburg (known as Petrograd in 1914-1924 and as Leningrad in 1924-1991), with 4,7 million inhabitants is the northernmost major city of the world.
This fascinating city has hosted at some time famous people like Alexander Nevsky (1240), Peter the Great (1699), Vladimir Lenin (1917), Iosif Stalin (1941) and many emporiers and emporess's. Celebrating 300 years in 2003, saw the renovation of over 130 historical buildings and monuments.
Paris

Helsinki was founded in 1550, as a trading center, most of its architecture is rather modern and some even avant garde: Helsinki became the capital of Finland in 1812 and the whole centre area war rebuilt, much in the Empire style.
The cty has wide boulevards and a beautiful blue harbor and modest popullation of just 500.000.
Around Senate Square you'll find delightful neoclassic architecture in a cathedral and the government buildings. Part of the charm is the relatively low architecture, you cannot find any skyscrapers. Sea is a major element.
Helsinki has several great museums, beautiful churches, parks, theatre, opera, shopping possibilities and historic sights, such as the Sea Fortress of Suomenlinna. You can also experience the Finnish cuisine, try especially fish and reindeer dishes, along with many others like suberb Russian kitchen. Helsinki has also several nice pubs and clubs to visit. With four very different seasons, the streets and bars, as well as the people, are usually livelier during the summer than winter.
Nearby are several lakes and the evergreen forests oferring a special character to the countryside. The Old Town of Porvoo and the area around Lake Tuusulanjärvi, especially the home (Ainola) of famous composer Jean Sibelius, are worth a visit.
